Breaking the Sound Barrier

DOCUMENTARY

Breaking the Sound Barrier is the story of Candice Lureman – Australia’s only profoundly deaf female truck driver. This short film explores a little about her life, her passion, and what she has had to endure to get to where she is today.

Breaking the Sound Barrier gives the audience an insight into what it’s like for a person who is deaf, like Candice, to live in this world, especially the unique world of driving trucks! Despite the struggles she has had to face throughout her life, she has achieved her goals and is a real inspiration.

This film is proudly made in collaboration with Women in Trucking Australia.
