Wrap up 2021 – It’s been a big year!
It’s been a big year for us at Beyond Content – we’ve had the pleasure of working on a vast array of different projects from corporate brand work and TVCs through to documentaries and TV series.

We launched Arterial Films – a sister brand to Beyond, and a place to develop our own creative ideas and foster new collaborations. Arterial produced two special projects that have been screened across the world in 2021. Our short film ‘Butterfly’ was screened at the Adelaide Film Festival Youth, at Giffoni in Italy, Seoul Guru in Korea, Yofifest in the US and is a part of Cinekids prestigious ‘ScreeningClub’ in the Netherlands. ‘The Rover of Tobruk’, produced with Kane McKay, premiered on Anzac Day at Adelaide Oval and Wallis Cinemas and is now available to stream on 7plus in Australia and on BT Sports in the UK.
We opened our new world-class boutique post production space, The Frederick. We welcomed new team members Alice (recently promoted to Content Producer), Fazz (Sound Engineer), and Stuart (Post Production Specialist). We extended our client offering into digital strategy with Adriana collaborating with us on several client accounts and projects. We said farewell to Content Producer, Nicky (co-writer of our short film Butterfly) who found representation for his writing with an Agent in LA. We can’t wait to see stories from him soon.
As 2021 comes to an end, we are also having a change-up in management. Sam Matthews will be stepping away from her role as a company director. It was a hard decision for Sam, however, the Beyond team all look forward to continuing collaboration with her on a regular basis.

I look forward to watching her continued growth as she explores a number of passion projects, and finds more time to focus on her craft as an editor and post-specialist, whilst always astounding us with her creative and technical skillset.” – Stephen

Sam has been a huge part of Beyond to date, and in many respects will continue to be, and we thank her for everything she has helped us achieve.
Beyond will continue to be led by Stephen and Chloe, both recently returned from the 12-week shoot on the Netflix funded children’s TV Series: Gymnastics Academy, A Second Chance, where Stephen was one of the episode directors and Chloe was running the production office as Unit Production Manager.
2022 is shaping up to be our most exciting year yet, as we prepare to begin post-production on Gymnastics Academy. We’ll be providing the VFX and Dolby Vision HDR grade. In addition, we are well into the last sprint of development on our feature film (more to be announced soon), with production tentatively slated for late 2022.
We wish to thank all of our clients, both new and existing, for their ongoing support and trust. Together we’ve worked on some incredible films and projects this year. And to our staff and collaborators, we’re only as good as the creativity you continue to generate. Can’t wait to create more magic with you all next year.
